Explore: Programme / module design in light of generative AI

This session will holistically consider all aspects of programme/module design from the implications for learning outcomes in light of AI through to assessment. We will also consider the student’s learning process with the aim of surfacing opportunities and challenges that AI may present for learners and educators. The session will be hands on enabling you to unpack and consider the implications for AI in a specific programme/module of your choosing.

Learning outcomes for the session

By the end of the session you will:

  1. Have considered the implications of AI for learning and teaching within your own context.
  2. Have analysed and considered refinements to the learning outcomes for your own programme/module to achieve the aims you seek for your learners within the changing landscape of AI.
  3. Have examined how assessment within your own programme/module could be refined to achieve the aims you seek for your learners within the changing landscape of AI.
  4. Have considered how learners are changing their behaviours in light of AI and how we can adapt our teaching practice to adapt to these changes.
  5. Have had the chance to get hands on and try out some of the AI tools and concepts discussed within the session.
  6. Have examined your own programme/module structure to consider how it could be refined to adapt for changing learner behaviours in light of AI.
